a5c7b9f00b Michael is having a bad day. Intense, impatient, self-absorbed, he crosses paths with several people in one 24-hour period who will change his life. Through the actions of these people, some of whom he will never meet, he receives many lessons in perspectives, perception, compassion, trust….and in the end, given the opportunity to forgive. An impulsive act by a group of thrill-seeking teenagers sets in motion a chain of events that will change many lives. I wish there were more movies like this. It's engaging. From the beginning, it's impossible to turn away from the story–how it unfolds, then folds up neatly again. At first,characters are introduced, their stories seem completely separate. Most of these characters are strangers to each other, yet their lives become entwined in a way that is extraordinary and feasible at the same time. All of the actors turn in stellar performances–the young man's self-centered intensity, his girl-friend's patient optimism. One performance of special note is the female exec. She's vulnerable, she's strong. She's pretty amazing. Finally, the screenplay is beautifully written. It's neat and well-planned. There are no loose ends at the conclusion. There's suspense, romance, action–this movie has it all. I loved this film! I felt inspired by watching it, and it reminded me of some of the more important things to remember in life that are easy to forget while dealing with the stresses of the day to day. I felt entertained throughout the film, loved the music very much, all the while getting a lot out of the main themes of the story. I especially loved how the different characters were all connected and how they came together by the end of the film in a beautiful way. I thought the acting was wonderful and I especially liked the interaction between the two brothers and the resolution was quite moving regarding the importance of family. I think films that have positive messages are really important for the good of the world. We all can be "lifted" up by films such"Sangria Lift". I left the film feeling great (!) and the upbeat music was a reinforcement to the film's messages and quite catchy too. We have so much to be grateful for and can always make the decision to be there to help other people and think the best of them. "Sangria Lift" does just that! Two thumbs up on "Sangria Lift"!
